Welcome 2010

A very Happy New Year to all my readers!

I am not too big on making new year resolutions, however I was nodding all way through while reading Liz's post here and also what Chantelle said here. Once you embark on motherhood and get your hands full with the family life it is easy and very common to forget yourself. It would be nice to be treated every once in a while to something like this. Seriously though it's one of the sweetest things I have read in a while; living proof Prince Charming is not just a fairytale character afterall.

While we are on the subject of sweet treats, I grabbed a total bargain today, this necklace from Diva for $5 on sale. Yup you read that right for all of five dollars. I have been planning on buying it for a couple of weeks now and thought it was a bargain even at the full price.

I'm liking 2010 so far!

Sorry about the bad picture, one resolution for sure is to work on my photography skills.

Colourful Home

With my hectic life, I don't get to spend as much time as I would like to in the blogosphere but when I do get around to catching up I usually spend fair few hours as there's so much out there, I end up discovering one amazing blog after other. One such blog which I recently discovered and spent a lot of time on was Ninainvorm's, I do recommend you check it out. It's full of happy, colourful pictures. Here are a few of my favourites.

Cookie Buffet

You know my love for candy buffets, well next in line is this fabulous idea I came across on this lovely blog. A cookie buffet.....who wouldn't like that? I also adore the colours used in this party.

Sweet Addiction!

A new Lindt cafe has opened up recently close to where we live, and I am in love with their macarons. So my plan for the weekend is sweet and simple ;) ...not very good for the wasit line.

Thank you all my lovely readers for your sweet comments this week, I have been very slack with postings but hope to get back on track soon. Have a sweet weekend!

To Dry For

I spotted these amazing tea towels in this months Inside Out Magazine. Aren't they just gorgeous? Good enough to be framed! These would make for a lovely Christmas Gift, check out some more designs here.

Beautiful Home

I'm loving Interior and Fashion stylist Alicia Bereincua's home as featured in this months Real Living Magazine. I love the use of colour and the lived in, yet stylish feel to it.

Getting Organized

I love looking at well-organized spaces. Maybe it's because I'm a Virgo or maybe it's just because I struggle to keep my own place that way, for more than a day due to recent hectic routines! Do you think if I look long enough at these lovely pictures my own rooms and shelves and whatnot will magically transform into super-organized?

I dream of Jeannie!!!

Ikea Trollsta Sideboard

I have been coveting Ikea's Trollsta sideboard for quite some time now, I wanted to get the yellow one as soon as I laid my eyes on it, however I didn't, hoping I would get over it. But here I am after so many weeks still loving it. I don't mind IKEA for little things and for kids stuff and ofcourse for shelving etc but I usually stay away from buying such statement peices from there. I need a sideboard for my hallway and I would be hanging all my framed art on the wall just above the sideboard. Would also be updating the wallpaper, so there would be a lot going on there, maybe if I get the black trollsta there's less chance of me waking up the next morning thinking I shouldn't have! (Yes I'm still on topic)

I will use Kelly Wearstler's Imperial Trellis Citrine wallpaper if I do endup buying the black one.

However if someone silly(me) gets the yellow one then i'll be using the Florence Broadhurst Stampede wallpaper.

Sensible part of my brain is telling me to go for a simple sideboard (hopefully antique) and paint it with a nice bright colour like these ones.
