Getting Organized
It's almost impossible to walk into my son's room or my daughter's room without stepping onto toys and other knick knacks as they always find a place on the floors. It is a never ending task to keep them all stored in a way which looks neat but is still accessible for them. So as a last resort, couple of days ago we bought two Ikea Expedits for both our kids rooms. Now If only we can manage to organize them (and keep them that way for more than a minute), like the ones in these pictures...here's hoping!!!

ART by Josephine Bradley
I haven't visited a Sportsgirl store in quite some time now and was pleasantly surprised when I went in there last week at the launch of the superflagship store at Cadstone, more so with the decor and displays, than the actual merchandise. There was this very talented artist Josephine Bradley who was customising trainers with her beautiful artwork (all for $30). All the proceeds were to go to Butterfly Foundation. Sadly when I went in there she had just wrapped up her counter and I was one of the unlucky few who couldn't get their hands on any of the stylish trainers.
But we can still buy her artwork from selected sportsgirl stores so I thought I'll share some of it with you all here.
Thankyou everyone for your comments and suggestions on my last post. I have found some good ideas/sources to recreate that look!
Have a fabulous weekend everyone!

World Map Feature Wall
I am currently re-doing my son's room who has just turned eleven. The colours which we have chosen are black and light blue with pops of bright red. I liked white with red and blue for a boy's room but then I think if it's black and blue he might be happier with it through to his teens. I would love to do a wall like this, any ideas where I can get such a huge map, is it a wallpaper?
The only thing I could find so far is this decal which won't look as good.

CHEK Homewares
A lot of you have asked and shown interest in my homewares range (thankyou!!!) and want to know a little bit more about it. Well I'll share full details with you all in a few weeks as we are hoping to launch our brand very soon, but to share a tinsy bit of info....I have designed hand block printed cushions, tablecloths, napkins, placemats, paper-products and bed-linen. We are launching with the cushions and tablewares with the upholstery fabric, paper-products and bed linen to follow later. It has taken me almost one year to design and source the best possible fabric and artisans, which is a really long time considering I grew up in a country where we still go to tailors to get our clothes stitched and all embroidery, dyeing, printing etc is done by hand so I have grown up surrounded by and appreciating the workmanship of these skilled artisans. For our launch collection the colours are indigo, pink and ofcourse yellow!

Also huge congrats to Kate and Mia (The Enchanted Closet) on the opening of their second store. I visited their store on Saturday and its gorgeous, from the lovely things they stock and display ever so beautifully, to the amazing detail in their store interior (specially the pink striped wall). I bought a fabulous pink skirt for my daughter which has such a vibrant colour and ruffles and layers..just the way it should be..Wish you every success Kate and Mia!

Spring is here!
Happy Spring everyone. I love this time of the year, spring is certainly my favourite season. I love Anna's blog (like thousands of others) and I particularly enjoy her Friday Flowers posts so today I have put together a few of my favourite flower pictures from her blog to kick off this lovely season.
And the most precious of all for me which my kids brought back from the park last evening!
