Candy Buffet

We are celebrating our daughter's third birthday in a couple of weeks. She is already three, but we didn't celebrate at that time as my mum was planning to visit us, she lives overseas and is finally here now. Miss 3 had some amazing suggestions--not (like having a dora themed party) but we finally agreed on a colour-themed (a bit of me) butterfly(a bit of her) party. The colours are green and blue (pastels). We would be having a candy buffet and these are the images I'm using as inspiration.

Lush greens and vibrant blues-

I have adored these pictures for a few years now. I love the bold use of colours in this house, specially with silver thrown in for good measure. It belongs to a interior stylist who designs stunning silver pieces (from jewelry to homewares). Have been trying to recall her name but to no avail. Hope you enjoy the pictures!

Stripes

I love stripes, specially in black and white. I have quite a few pieces in my own home in this lovely pattern. I'm thinking about covering my home's entrance walls in black and white striped wall paper. I just hope with all the black and white going on in my home (stripes, zebra print, polka dots, you name it), the wall paper won't make us all dizzy!

I bought this lamp only because of the striped shade.

Ok so after months of tossing with the idea, here I am feeling all excited about my first post. I officially have an addiction to bloggywood and start my day feeling inspired by all my favourite reads, mainly in the interiors, fashion, shopping category (all that can cause damage to your wallet).
